About Tales & Tea

In 2020 the pandemic changed everyone's lives including mine. It felt like one day I was working, everything was normal and the next day the world came crashing down. My salvation (other than family of course) were books, tea, chocolate and hugs - in equal measure. These things were reassuring, comforting, relaxing and gave me some desperately needed escapism. 

My favourite place in the world is to be surrounded by books, whether it's in a bookshop (online or real), library or just curled up in bed surrounded by a few books in different genres. This love of books has been passed on to my two adorable children, who do happy dances when we go anywhere book related. Our car is full of books as is each room in our house!

Tea to me is a natural extension of reading - I love the feeling of consciously putting the kettle on, waiting for it to boil, preparing the tea and all the while knowing I am about to make some time to read, relax and escape for a while.

As you can see, Tales & Tea was created by a tea loving bookworm. I am proudly Australian, love supporting Australian authors and companies and am always on the look out for something extra special.

My wish and hope is that when a Tales & Tea package is opened, the person smiles, feels warm and cosy inside, and knows they are loved.
